Our Story
Meat Me began with a derelict building on Lark Lane and a stubborn idea: Liverpool deserved Greek street food done properly.

We spent months stripping the place back — bare walls, damp corners, floors that hadn't seen a customer in years. What came out the other side is the room you sit in today: deep olive-green walls, trailing leaves hanging overhead, dark wood tables and cool stone underfoot. It's meant to feel like a taverna courtyard that happens to be five minutes from Sefton Park.
The food is the same philosophy. Meat marinated in-house and char-grilled to order, pita warmed on the grill, chips cut and fried fresh, dips whipped up that morning. Gyros carved straight off the spit, souvlaki skewers turned over open flame, and loaded fries that have developed something of a reputation after a night out.
Meat Me, Meat Free
Greek cooking has always been generous to vegetarians, so our meat-free section isn't an afterthought. Vegan gyros, halloumi souvlaki, falafel boxes and vegan loaded fries get the same grill, the same sauces and the same care.
Dogs Welcome, Always
Lark Lane runs on dog walks, and we were never going to be the place that turns them away. Bring them in, we'll find you a table and they'll get a bowl of water.
Two Homes in the City
After Lark Lane found its feet — and a 9.5/10 customer rating and 20,000+ followers along the way — we opened a second kitchen on Berry Street, right in the middle of town. Same menu, same grill, same welcome.
